This pendant is made with stained glass scraps. Two thick rectangles were cut. One clear and a red piece for the background.
A Sacred Heart image was placed between the glass pieces. The thickness of the glass, creates an optical illusion of depth. The heart appears to be a 3-D image, suspended in a glass box.
The edges are soldered with a top quality, lead free, silver solder. A piece of ornate, pressed, hollow tin, was added to embellish the pendant.
The "shrine" is hung from a hand beaded necklace chain, made with faceted, Czech glass beads, in a deep red color. |
